GDPR Personal data protection policy

Personal Data Protection Policy

Plus+ considers the management of your personal data a very serious matter and therefore complies with the applicable personal data protection legislation (Greek law 4624/2019), as well as Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR). Plus+ is committed to the full application of the current legislation and European regulations, taking into account the adoption of appropriate technical and administrative measures for the protection of personal nature data.

Browsing Our Website

You can browse our website without providing any personal information. Plus+ collects personal data from visitors/users only when they voluntarily provide it. Special care is taken for the data collected with the help of cookies. Due to frequent and rapid changes in technology and the corresponding efforts of the legislator to align legislation with these changes, Plus+ is committed to informing you of any modifications in its personal data management policy. In case a visitor/user disagrees with this policy, they must stop and avoid browsing the website.

Principles of Data Retention and Processing

Plus+ commits to make every possible effort to protect the personal character of your data. Therefore, it cannot transfer them to any third party (individual or legal) for any reason except in cases provided by law and exclusively to the competent authorities, and to processors acting solely on our behalf and on our instructions under an art. 28 GDPR agreement (see the “AI assistant (chatbot)” section). Minors have access to our services only with the consent of their parents or guardians, while in case of submission of personal data by minors, Plus+ will immediately delete all relevant information. The visitor/user can contact the administrators of the website at info@plus.com.gr at any time to find out if there is a file with their data, while they can change and delete themselves from the lists whenever they wish. Plus+ maintains files with users’ personal data exclusively for financial, tax, and communication reasons. It may process, with strict confidentiality and anonymity terms, a part or all of the data you have sent for statistical and economic reasons.

The Personal Data We Collect

Automatically Stored Information – Cookies

To facilitate the use of our website, Plus+ uses “cookies.” Cookies are small data/text files stored on your computer’s hard drive by your browser, necessary for the use of our website. We use cookies to better understand the use of our website and to offer you better navigation. Cookies help us, for example, to determine if you have already visited a page on our website. Cookies can also tell us if you have visited our website in the past or if you are a new visitor. The cookies we use do not store personal data or personal information capable of leading to the identification of the person to whom they relate and which have been collected in any other way. If you do not wish information to be collected through cookies, please set your internet browser to delete all existing cookies from your hard drive, block all future cookies, and to receive a warning before a cookie is stored.

Messages via Contact Form

You can submit your message to Plus+ either through the general contact form or through specially designed contact forms found on the service or product web pages. By submitting your message through any form of contact, you accept these terms regarding the use of your personal data (full name, email, and phone) by Plus+. Plus+ commits not to use this data for commercial promotion purposes nor to transfer it to third parties.

AI assistant (chatbot)

Our website provides an automated artificial-intelligence (AI) assistant that answers your questions based solely on the content of the Plus+ website. You are talking to an automated system, not a human; this is also indicated inside the chat window itself.

Who processes the data. The data controller is Plus+ (Souliou 21-23, 46100 Igoumenitsa, Greece, tel. +30 26650 27515, email info@plus.com.gr). The assistant is operated on our behalf and on our instructions by an independent IT service provider as data processor, under an art. 28 GDPR agreement.

What we process. Only the text of the messages you type and the technical data needed to serve the request (e.g. your IP address at request time — not stored in the conversation history). The assistant uses no cookies and no persistent storage on your device; the conversation is not linked to your identity and is lost when you close the page. Please do not enter sensitive personal data (e.g. health data).

Purpose and legal basis. The purpose is to serve you directly with answers about our website and services. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in providing effective customer service; use of the assistant is optional and activates only when you send a message.

Where and for how long. All data is hosted on servers within the European Union (Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany). To generate answers, the message text is processed within the EU by an AI language-model provider (Mistral AI, France) under an art. 28 GDPR data-processing agreement; it is not used to train models and is retained by the provider only briefly (up to ~30 days) solely for abuse prevention, then deleted. Conversations are stored on our server for up to 7 days, then automatically deleted. Any limited transfers outside the EEA are covered by EU Standard Contractual Clauses (art. 46 GDPR).

Automated processing. The assistant produces answers automatically but does not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects on you within the meaning of art. 22 GDPR.

Your rights. The rights under arts. 15–22 GDPR apply (see the “Contact, Information Request, Withdrawal of Consent, Blocking, Deletion” section). As conversations with the assistant are not linked to identity data, we may need additional information from you to locate a specific conversation (art. 11 GDPR).

IP Addresses

Plus+ may detect the IP address through which the computer or any other electronic device accesses the Internet and then to Plus+, while these data are used for statistical purposes. In cases where the browser requests permission to receive your location from our website, this information is used to provide more personalized information. In any case, this permission can be revoked at any time by changing your browser settings. If you choose not to give this permission, then it may not be possible to access specific services of Plus+.

Hyperlinks

With the help of appropriate links within Plus+, there is the possibility of accessing third-party websites. The placement of these links is intended solely to facilitate visitors/users during their internet browsing. It does not imply any endorsement or approval of the content of the websites that are linked. Each link leads to a different website, and browsing on it is subject to the terms of use of that site. Plus+ bears no responsibility whatsoever for the content and the personal data management policy of the website that is linked. Access to any such website using the provided links is solely at the user’s own risk.

Data Retention Period

The data you provide will be retained/stored by us only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which you have provided your data and in compliance with current legislative provisions. If you have given us your explicit consent to use your personal data for advertising purposes (e.g., newsletter subscription), we will use your data for this purpose until you withdraw your consent. You can revoke your consent at any time with future effect.

Contact, Information Request, Withdrawal of Consent, Blocking, Deletion

You can oppose the use of your personal data for the future at any time and without cost, request their complete deletion, or ask for information about the data stored by us concerning you or their correction. You can send us an email with your request to info@plus.com.gr or use the general contact form on our website. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).

Personal Data Security

Plus+ recognizes data and transaction security as a matter of major importance and therefore takes all necessary organizational and security measures, applying the most appropriate technical mechanisms to protect content, aiming to provide as safe an environment as possible for users, in accordance with corresponding legislative provisions. Plus+ protects visitors/users from any potential data interceptions using the SSL-256 bit encryption method. Encryption applies at all stages and all processes of transaction and transmission of personal data. Through its designers and administrators, every possible action is taken towards the development, updating, and improvement of the provided services and the website in general. However, there is always the possibility that errors/malfunctions/interruptions in the content of the website may occur or that viruses or other harmful software (malware) may appear either on the website or on its server.

Updates and Modifications

The Company reserves the right to modify/update parts of this Policy without the obligation to notify you in advance. Please always read the Personal Data Protection Policy before using our website, to be informed about the current version of the Policy, in case any modifications or updates have been made.

Cookies help us, for example, to determine if you have already visited a page on our site. Cookies can also tell us if you have visited our site in the past or if you are a new visitor. The cookies we use do not store personal data or personal information capable of leading to the identification of the person they pertain to and which have been collected otherwise. If you do not wish information to be collected through cookies, please set your internet browser to delete all existing cookies from your computer’s hard drive, block all future cookies, and to receive a warning before a cookie is stored.
